OWN pays tribute to Nelson Mandela


Oprah talks to the stars behind some of the year’s most powerful performances including Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station) on an all-new episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” airing this Sunday, December 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Additionally, in honor of the passing of Nelson Mandela, the network will air Oprah’s historic interview with Nelson Mandela from 2000 on Sunday, December 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. Together, they discuss his family, his fight against oppression, his 27 years of imprisonment, how he forgave his jailers and liberated a nation to freedom.
