Three Hollywood Directors, Three Perspectives

Being in charge is what these three film directors are known for and their careers are in full swing.  All three have current projects in play offering a variety of entertainment content that spans the genre of storytelling.

Antoine Fuqua helms “Brooklyn’s Finest” starring Academy Award nominee Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda, Crash), Golden Globe winner Richard Gere (Chicago, Pretty Woman), Ellen Barkin (The Fan), Ethan Hawke (Training Day) and Wesley Snipes (New Jack City).  The fierce cop drama from Overture Films is in theaters this month.

Rick Famuyiwa (Fam-ooh-yee-wah) helms “Our Family Wedding” starring Oscar winner Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland), Regina King (Ray), Lance Gross (TV’s House of Payne), America Ferrera (TV’s Ugly Betty), Lupe Ontiveros (Selena), Carlos Mencia (The Heartbreak Kid).  The romantic comedy from FOX Searchlight Pictures also opens this month.

Robert Townsend continues to break ground with an award-winning soap drama on PIC.tv, “Diary of a Single Mom” starring Monica Calhoun (The Best Man), Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars, Mahogany), Leon (The Five Heartbeats), Richard Roundtree (Shaft), Janice Lynde (TV’s General Hospital) and Valery Ortiz (TV’s South of Nowhere).  The webcast airs on Thursdays on PIC.tv
