Mayor Breed welcomes filmmaking in San Francisco

San Francisco Mayor London Breed

For decades, the City by the Bay was known as a major hub of many successful feature films.  Looking to return to its robust filmmaking reputation, the San Francisco Bay Area welcomes a new crew.  This week, London Breed, Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco, visited the set of LEXI which is currently filming entirely in San Francisco.  Adam Levine stars in the Suzanne Todd production.

LEXI is a six-week shoot, all in San Francisco.

Projected Economic Impact:

There are  approximately 300 crew employed on the picture. Of this, approximately 240 (80%) are local hires.

Approximately 1300 man-days in local background and stand-ins labor
Over 2,000 days in local car rentals  utilized (for approximately 30 out-of-town crew members)
Approximately 1,300 hotel nights booked for out of town crew
An additional 20 film crew members arranged to stay on their own locally in the community, in private housing
